This week's guest blogger is
Erin Olson, she's asking us to make a Zendala. A real challenge to me, I think this is my first (or second...?) one. I sketched the template she gave us on a tile and started filling it with different kinds of patterns. Made most of them up myself, apart from Jax ;-)
At the
Diva blog, you can take a look at the other entries. Always a great thing to do.
Thank you for visiting my blog, you're comments are always much appreciated!
Very nice. I like how you kept those kind of triangular areas open to give this more movement!
ReplyDeleteI love how your layers seem to swirl down like a whirlpool! I find myself wondering what might be behind that center circle. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a spinning pinwheel, very cool.
ReplyDeleteLovely Tile.
ReplyDeleteJax! What a great choice for the "ribbon." Great job as always.
ReplyDeleteI love how light and airy your Zendala turned out. Mine ended up way too dense.

ReplyDeletevery precise and geometric design. beautiful tile !
ReplyDeleteI really admire the depth of your zendala that is balanced with the airy ribbon. Great job.
ReplyDeleteIt is so balanced but natural feeling as well nice work! Sarah
ReplyDeleteWonderful zendala with great contrast! Lovely idea to use Jax as a delicate ribbon!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason it reminds me of hair tied into pigtails. The Jax ribbon really lifts it.
ReplyDeleteI like the movement also, as if you're on a Ferris wheel! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous Ilse! It's organic and geometic too;-) Thank you for the heads-up about my link;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely :)
ReplyDeleteLove the "hair". Reminds me of a ponytail, too.
ReplyDeleteIlse, I love how you always seem to add such richness and depth to your work! It's always very striking!! I love it! You've inspired me to try and do so. :0)
