Tackle it Tuesdays that start with Y
Another challenge, this time from Artful Creations. We're asked to juist use tangles which names start with Y. There wasn't a lot of choice to me, so I used Y-Ful power (I love it!), Yew-Dee (new to me, I like it), YinLinx (also new to me and it turned out nicer than I thought) and finally Yah (which is a funny pattern, but seems to be too much in this tile).
Anyway: it was very nice to try out all these new patterns!

It's a string thing #55
This week "It's a String Thing" # 55 uses the TanglePatterns String by the same number. The assignment is to create a monotangle using the pattern Striping by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas and the tangle enhancer sparkle in honor of Sue Agnew.
Hmm, I'm afraid I didn't read the assignment well - and I'm not sure what a 'tangle enhancer' is... So I created this tile and had lots of fun doing it, but afterwards I'm not sure if I did it 'the right way'. Well, at least it was right for me :-)

Diva's Weekly Challenge #182: "Stripes"
This week's challenge from the Diva is 'stripes': Try out some stripes in your challenge piece. Vertical, horizontal, diagonal, crossways, whatever you like!
Well... the most important 'stripe' for us this week was the one that appeared on the X-ray that was made from my husband's right elbow :-( It was a little crack, so for some time he won't be able to drive his car, or dress himself, or all those other things that need two hands to get done... Ouch!
Between driving him to and from work and arranging things for him, I luckily managed to find some time to tangle and to relax. Thanks for the challenge, Laura!

Joey's weekly challenge #22
I'm getting more and more addicted to the zentangle fun, so I was happy to find another challenge on internet: Joey's. It's her 22nd challenge, so she asked us to tangle two of something. My constellation is gemini, so I felt at ease ;-)

Weekly Challenge #181: "Water"
This week's Diva challenge is all about water. How will water inspirere you?
Funny coincidence: today we finished creating our new little pond in the garden. It made me fantasize what creatures could be living in it in the near future. It won't be an octopus for sure, but imagining about it already gave a lot of fun :-)

Weekly Challenge #180: UMT - MacDee
This week's challenge is a 'use my tangle' and we're asked to use MacDee by Anneke van Dam. It turns out this tangle pattern is inspired by tartan... It brings me straight back to my twenties when I had a 5-year relationship with a Scottish boy. Being Dutch myself, the kilt-culture was new to me, and I loved the proudness of the Scotts: being Scottish and wearing their kilts at special moments.
So... this challenge was about sweet memories to me and this made me decide the string would be a heart, with some tartan in the middle :-)

Another Bijou
This week I'll stick to making Bijou tiles (see my previous post). This time, I was trying to create a more Naturalis space for Bijou himself ;-)

Weekly Challenge #179: "Be like Bijou"
This week's challenge is to Be like Bijou and to try your hand at something a little small. Bijou tiles are 2"x2" so I limited my tiles to that size. I think this is a nice size to explore some tangles I (nearly) never used before: Ixorus and Flyte. Of course I keept some space to put Bijou in :-)
