Square One: SeZ

Facebook's challenge is to use SeZ. I wrapped it up as a present ;-)

Izzy's tile: Punzel and more

This time, Izzy inspired me to start a tile with Punzel. I think it's a great tangle and I put Flux,Tipple, Crescent Moon and Borbz around it. Izzy was very kind and didn't mind presenting it :-)

Maybe you can see his ear on the left side is torn. I'm afraid he's a little too keen defending his garden ;-)

It's a String Thing #81

We're challenged by Adele Bruno to use both Fassett and Phroz (its new sister pattern)  in 1 tile. This could be done in String #082 or in another (self created if you wish) string. I chose the last and fitted these two wonderful patterns in. This was a lovely, zen-ful challenge :-)

Joey's challenge #49

This week, Joey asked us to stack blocks of tangles. So, I did :-)

The patterns I used are: Lacy, Twile, Zonked and Villers #2.

Thank you for visiting my blog!

That's New to Me: N

Neuron is the pattern I chose as my new tangle for Suzy Mosh' challenge. I decided to also use a new String: #145 by Sandra. Like it!

I found it hard to add suitable patterns to Neuron, so I used Snowzags (gave me a sun-ray feeling) and Verve (love the movement in it!).

Diva's challenge #206

This week, Laura challenges us to try using tools or materials that we never used before. As a matter of fact, I DO have a white Sakura gelly roll pen, and I DO have black paper, but I never really used them to create a tile. I was pleased to find a white pencil for some shadowing too, so I started tangling Featherfall and really loved it. Then I wasn't sure what to put next to it. You can see what result came out of my hands, I think it's OK ;-)

Take a look at the Diva's blog to see what tools and materials the other participants used for this challenge. It's allways inspiring!

Izzy's tile: Vorago

For my non-challenge tile of this week, I chose to start with Vorago. Inside of this lovely pattern you can see Nymph, Tipple and a bit of Sunflower. Hoping for Spring to arrive soon ;-)

Square One: Strircles

This week's Facebook challenge is to use Strircles. It started as a monotangle, but then you fill up the white spaces and the monotangle feeling is completely gone :-)

It's a String Thing #80

This week's String Thing is all about String 080 and patterns Kozy and Inaura. New tangles to me, I really liked Kozy!

Joey's challenge #48

Joey asked us to draw some circles, not overlapping, to form polka dots. Esch dot has to be filled with a different tangle of our own choice.

My fillings ;-) are Gneiss, Lacy, Sundoo, Vortex and some self-made pattern. In the background I put plenty of mini-dots.

Diva's challenge #205

This week Thursday is Chinese New Year, which means the start of the Year of the Goat. So, Laura asked us to incorporate the Chinese New Year in our tile.

I drew a goat-string and filled it with Yew-Dee, Lacy and Crux. Because of the Chinese theme, I wanted to add some red. Well, it became quite dominant ;-) but I hope it gives this Goat Year a bright and shiny feeling!

Thank you for visiting my blog, I'm allways happy reading your comments!

That's new to me: S

These days, many people in the south of Holland are celebrating Carnaval. I was born in another part of the country, so I never grew up with getting dressed in silly clothes for 4 days, partying all night long. So, I was pleased with Suzy Mosh' challenge and I enjoyed the quietness at home ;-)

The challenge was to use a new pattern starting with S. I chose Snaylz Trayl and added Punzel, Well and CO2 to it.

P.S. I like to see how other people enjoy Carnaval: yesterday I saw somebody dressed up like a bag of fries cycling on his bike. That was so funny!

Square One: Huggins

For the Facebook challenge we were asked to use Huggins. I wanted to do something with Auraknot, so I made a comfortable Huggins bed for it ;-)

That's new to me #6

Our random letter is W, so I chose Wheelz as a new pattern to me. Then suddenly Pystyls were growing out of the Wheelz ;-)

You can see the results of the other participaters at Suzy Mosh' page.
Thank you for visiting my blogs!

Izzy's tile: Crossview

Another non-challenge tile presented by my lovely assistent Izzy :-)

I started with Crossview and added Tipz, Ticking, Onamato and Puf. Shadowing is fun, it makes such a difference!

It's a String Thing #79

Adele Bruno chose string #076 for us, and some lovely patterns. I used Inapod (a favorite!), Puf and a bit of Pozer. That was fun, thank you Adele!

Diva's challenge #204: Valentangle

LLike I had expected, the Valentine theme continues in our challenges ;-) This one's for the Diva.

Recently Michele Wynne used a pattern that was new to me and that I wanted to try: Marasu. I love it! Some Printemps and a bit of red completed this Valentangle.

Thank you for visiting my blog :-)

Joey's challenge #47

Joey gave us another challenge to celebrate love. This time we use string #039 and I chose to use 3 out 4 patterns Joey suggested: Luv-A, Loveline and Kiss.

Izzy's tile: Borbz

Participating in so many challenges means that I don't have much time left to play around with patterns that are new to me or that I love to do anytime. So, I've challenged myself to make a non-challenge ;-) tile every week.

This is my first one, using Borbz (new to me) and Hollibaugh (a favorite pattern). For this special occasion I asked my black-and-white cat Izzy to hold the tile for a picture. He's a sweet one :-) but I decided to get a clos-up as well.

Square One: Well

At Facebook's Square One challenge we're asked to use Well. I love it, it has so many possibilities! Today, I combine it with Chillon and Buttercup. Great zen-feeling :-)

It's a String Thing #78: Valentine

In the different challenges I follow, Valentine is a well loved theme so this tile will probably not be the last one with a heart in it :-)
Today, I used LG and Heartvine.

Next Tuesday, you can see what the other participants did with this challenge at Adele Bruno's blog.

Muster Mixer #3

A new challenge to me: Muster Mixer. Nice!

Once a month we're asked to combine two patterns into one tile. This month, it's all about Cadent and Buttercup, so here's my entry in which I put Buttercup in a larger Cadent:

Joey's challenge #46: Hearty

Apparently, I'm in a funny mood this week, doing things I normally don't do.
I'm not talking about scary things :-), I mean zentangle-wise. My Diva tile yesterday was more like a drawn landscape and today's tile all of a sudden was filled with lots of red. I hardly ever use colours in my tiles. Must be the hearty theme that Joey challenged us with!

So, I used Heartline, Heartstrings and Hearty. And plenty of red ;-)

Diva's challenge #202: Athitzi

Okay... What happened here? Can I call this a zentangle? Well, it gave me zen ánd I used a tangle, so I suppose it comes close.
But it's so different from my other work, that I might try another tile this week :-)

Thank you for visiting my blog! If you like to see what other tanglers did with this pattern Athitzi, visit the Diva's blog. It's fun!

That's New to Me: M

Suzy Mosh asks us to use at least one new pattern starting with the letter M. I grabbed String 124 and chose to use Munchin (new), Morse (I knew Hollibaugh, but not this variation) and Florz (well-known :-) ).

Facebook Square One: Quandary

Quandary trying to escape the safe environment of Mooka, Tipz and Flux :-)
