Square One Focus: Rain
Square One at Facebook asks us to focus on the pattern Rain. I added Footlites, Girdy and Hurry - and now it's Raining lines ;-)

Stacked and Tangled #3
Today, I forgot to bring my proper tools with me to the hospital, so I had to improvise now and then to get my Facebook's Stacking and Tangling done ;-)

V-W-X challenge
In Diane and Carolien's Challenge, we've arrived at the letters V-W-X. I liked to try out something new, so I chose Vercut and Wud. To these, I added tangle pattern 'X'.
Curious what next week's challenge will be like, since we've almost arrived at the end of the alphabet ;-)

It's a String Thing #94
Adele Bruno challenged us to use some flower inspired tangles in String #94. I decided to compose my 'bouquet' with Wist, Jasmin and Sooflowers.
Joey's challenge #62
In Canada, they celebrateVictoria Day, a holiday originated to celebrate Queen Victoria's Birthday. This inspired Joey to challenge us to tangle a birthday card fit for a Queen.
My entry may not really be a birthday card, but it certainly has a Royal touch, don't you think? ;-)

Thats's New to Me: R
Rain Dotty is a tangle that's new to me, and I combined it with Scrolled Feather by Helen Williams (love her style!). Like this, it fits perfectly for Suzy Mosh' challenge :-)

Diva's Challenge #219: Lines
Let me start by saying: Thank you, Laura, for challenging us every week with in such a nice and diverse way. You're doing a great job!
This week, we're challenged to only use straight lines. I quite like straight lines, so this pleased me ;-)
I partly used string 108 and filled it with Crusade, Zin and Arabel. For the last pattern, I paid extra attention to draw little squares - straight lines, no circles! - in the middle. That made me focus 100% :-)
Thank your for visiting my blog, your comments always are much appreciated.

That's New to Me: X
Suzy Mosh challenges us to find a pattern that's new to me starting with an X. Xplo-zen was the one for me ;-)
We have to combine this with one of Sue Jacob's patterns. Those are all lovely, but how to combine one with Xplo-zen? I found that quite hard to do, and in the end I chose Coil. To finish my tile, I put some Sundoo in two corners.
Not my nicest work, but it was nice to learn two new patterns.

S-T-U Challenge
In Diane and Carolien's Challenge, we've arrived at the letters S-T-U. It's been a while since I last used Shattuck, and I combined it with Tipz and Uncorked. All of a sudden, there was a nice organic setting in front of me :-)

Stacked and Tangled #2
Today, I fancied to stack and tangle :-) to send in an entry in the Facebook-group with the same name (Stacked and Tangled). I like stacking, that's clear to me ;-)

It's a String Thing #93
String #093 and a couple of (new to me) tangles, that's what Adele Bruno liked us to combine. It's always nice to learn new tangles, this time Gottago (at the bottom, right and middle) was my favorite one, although I didn't fill much space with it. I'll surely use it again some other time!

Diva's challenge #218
Laura challenges us to make a 'white on black' tile. I always love the effect this kind of work gives!
I chose not to use a string, so I drew Octonet in the middle and put some fancy decorations around it. Very nice to do, thanks Laura!
Thanks to you as well, for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely messages as you have been doing. Brightens up my day!
Joey's challenge #61: Flower
Yeah, Joey asks us to tangle a Flower shaped string. I love flowers!
I decided to draw my own string of a flowery flower ;-) and fill it with fife patterns. In the middle, you see Ha-naku and around it Navaho, Scallops, Twile and Zin.

Square One Focus: Zinger
Thanks to Facebook's Square One group, this time I focused at Zinger and created a garden scene with it :-)

P-Q-R challenge
Diane & Carolien arrived at the letters P, Q and R when it comes to their weekly challenge. I chose to draw Punzel, Quabog and Rixty, but when I was finished, I wasn't sure if they do go well together. Anyway... they brought the zen-feeling with them, so that goal was archieved :-))

Joey's challenge #60: Quandary
Joey thought about taking a break from zentangle challenges, but luckily she quickly changed her mind. I always love her challenges! So, I'm happy to participate at this Quandary monotangle in string #131 :-)

It's a String Thing #92
For this challenge by Adele Bruno, I chose to use ChocoBox, Butter and Kandy Ribnz in string #098. The result is OK, but it's not my favorite tile of the month. That's how it sometimes goes ;-)

That's New to Me: E
Every week, Suzy Mosh challenges us to use a tangle that is new to us. This time, the new pattern has to start with an E and I chose to use Eye-wa. Next to it, I tangled Borbz and ING.
Quite happy with the result :-)

Diva challenge #217
This week, Laura gives us a really challenging challenge ;-) She asks us to make a Duo Tangle with Dex and Bunzo, because tomorrow it's her birthday. Look at her blog to find out why it had to be these two :-)
Happy birthday Laura! And I wish you all the best for your brave little boy...!
Thank you for visiting my blog, your comments are always much appreciated.

Joey's challenge #59
To honour my Mom, and to participate in Joey's challenge :-), I drew Mumsy on a black tile. My Mom loves it, you too I hope ;-)
Happy Mother's Day!

M-N-O challenge
Diane & Carolien challenge us to make a tile with patterns starting with the letters M, N and O. My choices: Marasu, Nymph and Oolo, three patterns I always love to tangle :-)

It's a String Thing #91
For Adele Bruno's challenge, we start with a V-string. I decided to turn the tile around and put Vano and 2-n-5 in it. It sort of looks like a mountain full of rising sun with funny clouds in the background :-)

Practising in string #128
Today, I was practising some different patterns in string #128. You see Yoga, Nzeppel, Villers #2, Lealad, QT, Huggins and Spokes.

Diva's challenge #216: Brella
Today, it's the 4th of May. Laura tells us it's Star Wars day and she used the UMT Brella to draw Darth Vader. Luckily, she only asks us to use Brella, not to draw something from Star Wars ;-) That's not my cup of tea (sorry Laura ;-) ) and besides that, in Holland May 4 is Remembrance of the Dead.
It commemorates all civilians and members of the armed forces of the Kingdom of the Netherlands who have died in wars or peacekeeping missions since the outbreak of World War II. To remember them, tonight at 8.00 pm we kept 2 minutes of silence. Tomorrow, on May 5, we celebrate freedom.
Because of this, I chose to use the logo of the National Committee for 4 and 5 May as a string. I kept it white and put Brella in the background. And: I thank all these brave men and women for the liberty we live in today.

That's new to me: W
Our random letter is W and since we've done this letter before, Suzy Mosh asks us to add an Artist Focus (one pattern by that artist). This week's artist is Anne Marks and I chose Camelia, next to Waft by Bessamy Snoderly. In the middle, there's just a big black hole ;-)

J-K-L challenge
For this J-K-L challenge by Diane and Carolien, I chose to use Jalousie, Kiss and Lilypads (the last one was new to me).

Muster Mixer #6
Muster Mixer is a challenge that I really love, but forget about all the time. It's not a weekly, but a montly challenge and somehow that frequency is not registrated in my head ;-) But now I've put a reminder in my agenda, so I won't forget it anymore.
The challenge is to mix 2 tangles. Not to create a duotangle of 2 patterns next to each other, but to integrate them into a 'new' pattern. To be honoust, I'm not sure if I succeeded fully with these two, but I really liked making this design!
