Diva's challenge #257

Amy Broady is the guest blogger at the Diva's blog and she challenges us to include a metallic feature in our tile.

I don't have metallic pens or paper, but I do have... tinfoil! I also have a hole punch :-) so here we are: I created my own silver 'pearls' and drew a Monotangle of Nipa around it. That was fun!

Lazy Sunday afternoon

Drupe, Coaster and Flux were the patterns I fancied drawing today :-)

Sunny day

We had a sunny day today, so nice! Then all of a sudden, this flowerish tile developed under my eyes :-)

It's a String Thing #133

Adele Bruno gives us a very angular string (#133) and three basic tangles: Fife, Yincut and Flukes. It's always nice to go back to basics :-)

Joey's challenge #101

Joey has come up with a new idea for the next 15 challenges: we're using Roman Numerals as our string. This is the first week, so... we're starting with Numeral 1 :-)

The tangles I used are Cle and Fleavy: two new (to me) patterns. 

Diva's challenge 256

This week we're creating a Duotangle with two patterns Laura named after her two boys. The boys deserve some good vibes (I hope they will feel better soon!) so it really was a pleasure to tangle Boo*Kee and Artoo.

Just playing with some patterns in string 194 today :-)

In the bottom you see Dillo, a new pattern that I wanted to practice.

Zenuari ATC 3

This is the third ATC I created for the Zenuari swap. I hope Sue enjoys it :-)

Zenuari ATC swap 1 + 2

Anoeska organized a swap at the end of Zenuari. Who wanted to, could participate and swap 3 ATC's (Artist Trading Cards) with fellow tanglers. How nice! I got to swap with Anoeska herself (Holland), Beatrice (Sweden) and Sue (USA).

Joey's challenge #100

Wow Joey, congratulations on 100 lovely challenges that kept my hands busy and made me feel zen! Thank you :-)

For today's tile I used the pattern 4 corners and added some pearls and I invited Bijou and one of his friends. That was fun!

Ixorus monotangle

Sometimes it's nice to just monotangle away. Today with Ixorus :-)

Alphabet challenge #45: W-I-R

In this tile for the W-I-R challenge of Diane and Carolien, I used Well, ING and Rain. 

That's New to Me #50: K

Suzy Mosh challenges us to create a tile with a pattern starting with K that's new to us, and combine it with a tangle of Margaret McKerihan. 

I chose to use Margarate's Ta-Da and put  Kitl and Kandy Ribnz (both new to me) around it. The result looks a bit strange, but I like it :-)

Joey's challenge #99

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, Joey is challenging us to tangle a String of the Yin Yang symbol. Nice! I chose to make a monotangle of the pattern Fife.

Next week it's Joey's 100th challenge! What will it be like...?! :-)

Alphabet challenge #44

This week we're tangling patterns starting with M, B and Z for Diane and Carolien's challenge.

I fancied drawing circles and filled them with Maryhill, Bluebonnets and Zenith. That was fun!

That's New to Me #49

Suzy Mosh is back and challenges us to fill a tile with a 'new to me' pattern starting with V and add the tangle Hitched by Heidi Sue.

For the V I chose Voga - and really liked it!

It's a String Thing #130

Adele Bruno likes to continue to share the love - and why not? :-)

So we're tangling hearts again: string #150 and the patterns Luv, Join and Heart Box. 

The result turned out quite sweet :-)

Now on to the challenge of this week: use the tangle Cayke. I hadn't used it in a while, so I tangled it on quite a big part of my tile :-)

Diva challenge #253

Laura asks us to use the new tangle 'Molygon'. Great, I already wanted to try this pattern!

When tangling, you make all kinds of decisions: how to use a tangle, in what string, with what other patterns etc. Quite often these decisions just happen, you let the tile fill itself with your ink. 

Then sometimes the result turns out rather different from what you originally had in mind. That's not a problem at all, this is ZENtangle :-)

So, it's different - but I like it! :-)
