Diva's Challenge #214: Earth Day

This Wednesday is Earth Day, so Laura challenged us to keep Earth in mind while tangling. She suggested we could use any shape or material we wanted, but I chose to keep it 'simple' in black and white. I hardly ever use circles as a basic string (zendala), so that was pretty new to me.

I used Inapod for (only four...) continents, River for the oceans and Quadog to represent the people on Earth. The result looks OK, although in my mind, it was gonna look more spectacular. Oh well... ;-)

  1. This does look like a lovely earth!! But I certainly understand the feeling of things not coming out as I imagined them :) But what a cool idea!!

  8. Beautiful tile. The border makes me think of that Michael Jackson song, "We are the world".

  12. I just love the Inapod. I know what you mean about not getting what you thought you would. Many of us have that problem as we are just so hard on ourselves. You created a great tile. Just pretend someone else did it and you will be happier at once!
