This week's challenge is a 'use my tangle' and we're asked to use MacDee by Anneke van Dam. It turns out this tangle pattern is inspired by tartan... It brings me straight back to my twenties when I had a 5-year relationship with a Scottish boy. Being Dutch myself, the kilt-culture was new to me, and I loved the proudness of the Scotts: being Scottish and wearing their kilts at special moments.
So... this challenge was about sweet memories to me and this made me decide the string would be a heart, with some tartan in the middle :-)
Lovely tile. And great that you were able to work some sweet memories into it.
ReplyDeleteI really like your color combination for MacDee.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Tile, Ilse. Your MacDee is awesome. I very much enjoyed your back story and memory's behind your design. Well done.
ReplyDeletevery pretty tile. I like the slash of MacDee in the middle of the heart. Sweet.
ReplyDeleteNicely done tile Ilse. You have expressed your memories clearly.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely tile!
ReplyDeleteNice color combination.
