This week's Diva challenge is all about autumn and leafs. Colourful leafs preferably, but there's not many of them around the house. In our front garden we have a fig tree, which is quite remarkable: we don't live in some sunny mediterranean country: we live in the Netherlands where the weather can be cold and wet. Our fig tree doesn't seem to care: last year we really enjoyed eating the fruit. They're not ready to eat yet, so we will wait patiently.
For this challenge, I used a leaf that had fallen off the tree and tangled away :-)
So beautiful. Your round background element, using Msst in a radial pattern, is awesome. Love the many patterns you used to populate your Leaf String. Such a creative design.
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't think of figs when I thing of te Netherlands----tulips, definitely, but figs, definitely not. You dd some very pleasant tangling on your fig leaf.
ReplyDeleteNice tangle
ReplyDeleteMooi Ilse, Ik vind hoe je de achtergrond hebt gemaakt erg creatief, het lijkt als of het blad op een bordje ligt. Je hebt mooie patroontjes uitgekozen, die goed in elkaar overvloeien.
ReplyDeletevery nice tangling. I like the round element around the leaf
ReplyDeleteVery nice work! Thanks for sharing a photo of your tree. I always like to see pictures of places and things far away :)
ReplyDeleteLovely tile :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteJa, de vijgen gedijen goed in ons kikkerlandje. Mooi, om het blad op de halve cirkel te tekenen en de tangles die je gebruikt hebt zijn goed gekozen.
ReplyDeleteYour leaf (and your tangling) are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery neat and delicat. A beautiful tile, simple and yet so intricate.
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful tile!
ReplyDeleteLovely leaf with great choice of tangles!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice tile. I like how you were able to put so many tangles in one image and not have it feel crowded. Enjoy your figs when they ripen.
ReplyDeletebeautiful tile. I like the circel you made around your leave.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile. The leaf shape worked beautifully with the circle.
ReplyDeleteNice tangling in the leaf string. Agree with David that your Msst circle really is a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteBeautifully drawn and composed.
ReplyDeleteThe figs on the tree look excellent, and indeed it seems that the tree completely forgot that it has Mediterranean roots :)
