Diva's challenge #202: Athitzi

Okay... What happened here? Can I call this a zentangle? Well, it gave me zen ánd I used a tangle, so I suppose it comes close.
But it's so different from my other work, that I might try another tile this week :-)

Thank you for visiting my blog! If you like to see what other tanglers did with this pattern Athitzi, visit the Diva's blog. It's fun!

  2. I like it. I think it's a tangle that lends itself to pictures and zia rather than purely tangling and you've done just that. Nice tile.

  3. What a great idea! I love your Athitzi landscape. Your work is always creative, but there's a gentleness and peacefulness to it that keeps me coming back to look again and again. Truly lovely.

  4. I love what you came up with. I felt the same. I think of it more as a drawing style rather than Zentangle, but it was fun to use.

  6. Hey, it's your tile and it's your website----so that pretty much settles it. Whatever you want is right and I agree with the other commenters, this tangle really lends itself to the stylized landscape you came up with. Very nicely done.

  8. Your Tile looks like a lovely ZIA to me. It's a beautiful exploration of the Athitzi pattern, and the image it inspires in ones mind is so much the better. Well done, Ilse.

  14. I like it. It is like an illustration in a children's book. The simplicity of it, and how airy it feels. Nice work

  20. I love your landscape. It makes me want to go relax in that field by the tree and tangle away. Your lines in your Athitzi are very well done. Great piece.
