I chose not to use a string, so I drew Octonet in the middle and put some fancy decorations around it. Very nice to do, thanks Laura!
Thanks to you as well, for visiting my blog and leaving such lovely messages as you have been doing. Brightens up my day!
Wat is Octonet toch een leuke tangle, en zo op het zwart komt hij heel mooi over.
ReplyDeletePrachtige balans in zwart en wit. Heel mooie tile!
What a clever idea and what a lovely finished tile.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, love the shading on this one
ReplyDeleteGreat tile, Ilse. What a creative way to answer the challenge!
ReplyDeleteI really like your creation. its so neat and precise, not an easy thing to do with white on black. I haven't heard of octnet either, Ill have to find it to learn the step outs .
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile. I just looked up Sue Jacob's Octonet and may have to add that to my list of new tangle. I'm currently obsessed with her Vigne tangle. So many tangles, so little time....
ReplyDeleteYour tile looks so beautiful :-) Very nice composition of patterns and lovely highlights!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done. I don't know that tangle either, can't wait to try it. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an octonet, but definitely will look it up. It's so dramatic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile! Wonderful your choice of tangles!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful focus tangle and I love how you used shading to make another "color". Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is really lovely. I am adding Octonet to my list of tangles to learn.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Good idea too.
ReplyDeleteA lovely combination of tangles - beautifully shaded (which is not so easy on a black tile)...gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOH..this is lovely! You do such evenly drawn nice linework Ilse!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is so beautiful. It looks like a piece of lace work.
ReplyDeleteOcotnet, eh? This is the second one I've seen using it, and I've never even heard of it, and it is just gorgeous. Lacy like a doily. It is stunning in white on black. Beautiful work
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your white on black! I've only done a couple of black tiles, so I have a LONG way to go before I'll be as good as you are with them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tile! You have such a steady hand with the white and your highlighting is spot on. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteLove your tile!
ReplyDeleteNice symmetry in your tile. I like the balance of fill and negative space. Also nice subtle shading.
ReplyDeleteEen mooie sierlijke tile en heel goed in balans. Prachtige combinatie van patroontjes gekozen, mooi.
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteSharp and so bold but elegant! Sarah.
ReplyDeleteWhat pens did you use to get such a precise finished product? It's just lovely. I'm going to try to find Octonet, too. It's great.
ReplyDeleteI used a Sakura white gelly roll pen and a white pencil. That's all!
DeleteYour white on black is amazing!!! I love it!!
