Like Jen, I'm more of a 'black-and-white' type of person, but this doesn't mean I won't take the challenge.
To make things even worse :-) I chose to use two colours that easily hurt your eyes when being put together: pink and red.
For the shading I used pink and red colour pencils.
So, you're looking at string #104 and the patterns 2-N-5, Chard, Bales and Zin.
It's not my favorite tile, but I like the brightness of the result :-)
Not the obvious choice of color - but somehow it works.
ReplyDeletePink and read - such an unusual combination. Love your tile!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour choice, it almost looks like one colour.
ReplyDeleteThe brightness of the tile is amazing!
ReplyDeleteI really like it!
I love how your bales came out :) pink and red look nice here in your tile :)
ReplyDeleteIt still is a pretty tile. Sometimes it is difficult to stretch out of our comfort zone. That's why I like the challenges :)
ReplyDeleteSamen zijn het zeker heldere kleuren, en ze spatten dan ook van het papier af.
ReplyDeleteHet ziet er heel vrolijk uit. De combinatie van tangles is ook heel goed gekozen.
Pretty in pink
ReplyDeleteBeautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI really like it! Great balance of the two colours.
ReplyDeleteI have used this string! It reminds me of a torso. Red and pink are fun together!
ReplyDeletei like your colors, very nice
ReplyDeleteI like your tile, very nice combination of colours :-)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty tile with lovely colours!
ReplyDeleteI like the color combination. If it was a bigger piece, it might be harder to look at for long. Nice shading with on this also.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors you have chosen. They seem the right choice for someone who likes black and white :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a Baby Boomer and the colors you chose remind me of the colors we used to wear back in the olden days, you know, during the 1970s. In fact, the tangles you chose also remind me of a skirt I had back then. Nice.

Looks great! I'm terrified of pink - you did a lovely job with it :)
ReplyDeleteIk vind deze kleuren heel mooi samen!
ReplyDeleteI read Suzanne Fluhr's comment and laughed because that is exactly what I was going to write. My sister's wedding in 1972 had colors of hot pink and orange...a bit hard on the senses. Your work is beautiful and thank you for taking my senses back down memory lane.
ReplyDeleteAlso laughing at the comments about going back in time!! To one of my favourite eras - and these bright colours are sensational! Axxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous colors and they fit with the tangles so well. Great! Sarah.
ReplyDeleteVery bright and cheerful! Pink is my favourite colour, and your tile makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteraale dazzle!
