Diva's challenge #244

Tripoli is one of Laura's favourite tangles - this shows in her beautiful tiles! When I draw it, it hardly ever ends up the way I wanted, so I (partly) kept her advice in mind: 'not all triangles must be created equal'.

As you can see on my tile, I used this information above and under the blank part in the middle. On the left and right side, I tried to draw Tripoli in the 'official' way. Now I wish I had done the left and right side in the same way as the other parts.

It was a nice challenge though and I'm still pleased with the result. As I was with your comments on last week's challenge entry: thank you very much :-)

  4. Awe shucks, please don't wish you had done it differently. It's the perfect rendition of the four seasons. Winter is on the left. And I see them all rotating around the center.

  6. I like the idea of using different variations, not only in filling the pattern, but in the actual shapes.

  7. I like that you can see both approaches - I love the contrast between the 'formal' and the relaxed versions! Axxx

  8. I think your Tripoli is extremely organized. It is a tangle that can easily get away from you and you kept it under control perfectly. Nice!

  10. The Tripoli tangleation you used on the left side is my favorite. This was a very clever idea for your tile.

  13. I love your composition. And your top and bottom Tripolis are just as beautiful as the left and right! So clever to leave the hole in the middle!
