Well, this sounds like a perfect tangle to use in the challenges she gives us at the Diva blog: practice the art of simplicity. 'Be conscious of when you've reached your point of "enoughness".'
As you can see below, three patterns was quite enough to me to 'fill' string 128. I used Daviso, Weave and Beelight.
Thanks for visiting my blog! I really loved reading your comments in the past weeks :-)
Hi Ilse! Thanks for visiting AND for trying out the new tangle! I love your composition and shading. It brings such a striking but soft look to your tile!
ReplyDeleteI really like how your tangles are completely separate and yet make such a pleasing composition. Nice, Ilse!
ReplyDeleteThere is quite a sense of spaciousness in this, Ilse!! Very cool!! :)

A wonderful Tile, Ilse. Daviso is a beautiful pattern, and I love how you worked it into your string with the other patterns. Beautiful shading, too.
ReplyDeleteYou conquered the negative space and used it to enhance your composition. I'm finding that using "nothing" is not so easy a skill to master. Good job.
ReplyDeletevery nice tile, i like the patterns
ReplyDeleteWat een mooie compositie!
ReplyDeleteSuper gedaan.
ReplyDeleteI've not seen Daviso before. I will add it to my list! Your tile is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWonderful and very elegant tile! Fine contrast!
ReplyDeleteLove how elegant this is in its simplicity!
ReplyDeleteThe simplicity is very evident on your tile and Daviso is a great tangle to use. I love your shading. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteSimple yet "eye catching". Well done!
ReplyDeleteClean, bold, and I love the way they are so very different and separate, yet go so well together! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tile and it meets the challenge so well. I especially like the way you used the string, leaving the space in the middle blank. That emphasizes the idea of simplicity even more.
ReplyDeleteI have gotten away from using strings. You used yours well.
ReplyDeleteLovely - and beautifully simple - tile, Ilse. Ax
ReplyDeleteSuper job as always!
ReplyDeleteIlse, a very lovely tile for this challenge. Your work is always so clean and crisp looking! just beautiful work! :0) Annette
