Old in new

Today I chose to use the new string #201 and fill it with some 'good old' basic tangles. Always nice and relaxing to do :-)

The patterns I used are (top right, going clockwise): Buttercup, Weave, Kaleido, Yawn, Crossroads, Ennies and Printemps.

Joey's challenge #106

Joey's challenge is this week: use her Roman Numeral VI String and fill it with tangles of your own choice. I guess I missed the pattern suggestions a bit, since I chose tangles I don't use very often - and I wonder if they go well together. Oh well, it gave a nice zen feeling ;-)

Drupe as a string

Today, I've used Drupe as a string and I filled it with several patterns. Starting top left and going clockwise, you can see Quiltz, Zedbra, Yew-dee, Striping, Keeko, Jonqual, Hibred and Hollibaugh. Which one of these is your favorite tangle?

Pneunomia tile

Despite the pneunomia I'm having right now :-( I try to tangle, when I have enough energy for it. This means I'm doing 1 tile in 2 or 3 shifts, but it's such a nice way to forget about everything for a short while.

So: here I've been playing with ING, Borbz, Tipple and Meer.

Alphabet challenge #49: L-Z-Y

This week, we're tangling with patterns starting with L, Y and Z for Diane & Carolien's challenge. The tangles I chose are Lealed, Yoga and Zonked. The last one (on the right side) is always a difficult one to me, sothis was a good practice :-)

Joey's challenge #105

Joey designed a 'Numeral V' string for this week's challenge and she likes us to fill it with Puf, Coil and Pais. Interesting combination of patterns :-) which gave this result:

Diva's challenge #260

This week, Laura likes us to create a Monotangle with Shattuck. Quite a challenge, because of itself, but also because hearing the news about Brussels (less than 1,5 h from where I live) takes away a lot of my focus :-( Let there be peace...

Thanks for visiting my blog :-)

Alphabet Challenge #48: T-P-D

This week, Diane and Carolien challenge us to create a tile with patterns starting with the letters T, P and D. I combined Tour with Prestwood and Dugwud:

It's a String Thing #136

This week was National Pi Day in the United States, so we're using a Pi shaped string for Adele Bruno's challenge. I've filled it with 3-loops-6, Tripoli and W2.

Practising the tangle Organic

I wanted to practice the pattern 'Organic' (in the middle) and somehow this is the result. I had imagined another composition, but this one's fine too :-)

Joey's challenge #104

This week brings us to Roman Numeral IV as a string for Joey's challenge. We're to fill it with 3 patterns which name starts with 4: 4 Corners, 4 Fun and 4 Mom.

It ended up like this:

Diva's challenge #259

Laura's asking us to add a touch of Irish to our tile. Nice! I love Ireland and was lucky enough to attend an Irish wedding once. Such a lovely experience!

For this challenge I chose to use a Celtic knot as a string and fill it with plenty tangles. A bit of a puzzle and a lot of fun :-)

Alphabet challenge #47

Diane's website has been down, so for a short period there were no challenges of Diane & Carolien. Luckily these problems have been solved (thank you, Diane!), so here's my entry for this week: a tile with patterns starting with A, # and X.

The tangles I've used are Auraknot, 4Mom and Xav.

We're using St. Patrick's Day String for Adele Bruno's challenge, together with the pattern Lucky. And: I've added a bit of Diva Dance ;-)

Diva's challenge #258

It's UMT time at Laura's blog. The 'Use My Tangle' is Rautyflex bij Kathrin Bendel. A high focus tangle - but I love it! I kept it big enough to get the right feeling of this pattern.

Thank you for visiting my blog, your comments brighten my day :-)

Joey's challenge #103

We've arrived at Roman Numeral III at Joey's challenge. She drew a lovely #3 string with a bit of a wave effect and likes us to use Buttercup, Fescu and Tipple. So... here it is :-)

P.S. When I was finished, I looked at my tile and saw something that reminded me more of some kind of sign of the number 4 instead of 3. Must be the way I composed it ;-)

Practising Escher...

Today I've been playing with patterns of Sandy Bartholomew. Escher (top right) will always be a difficult tangle for me, but I'll keep practicing :-)

Bales, BIC, Ennies and Cubine are more my cup of tea ;-)

String #196

From time to time, I like to try out new strings that appear at www.tanglepatterns.com. So today, I chose to take string #196 and I filled it with Fe-ba, Gottago and Tipple. That was a relaxing afternoon :-)

Joey's challenge #102

A Roman Numeral II is our string this week at Joey's challenge, and we're to fill it with Japonica, Hi C's and Flux. I don't use the first two very often, so that was nice to do :-)
