It's a String Thing #77
Adele Bruno tickled us to tangle in string 077 and I chose to use Heartrope, Heartstrings and Luv-a. Such a lovely challenge :-)

Joey's challenge #45
This week, Joey would like us to try our hand at tangling: "place your hand on your paper, trace around it, now fill it with tangles!"
As you can guess from the drawing, I'm right handed, so I put my non-dominant hand on the paper and tangled away with Hurry, Xav, Chard, Beelight, Yew-Dee and Onamato. Fun challenge!

Diva's challenge #202
This week, the Diva asked us to make a duotangle of two patterns: Chebucto and Copada - and nothing else. I really love to make monotangles (with just 1 tangle), but two of them together on a tile is fun too :-)
Thank you for visiting my blog! Your comments are allways much appreciated :-)
That's new to me #4
Suzy Mosh gave us our random letter for Week #4: U. I chose Up N Down, Unruly, Unme and then... I sort of messed it up with Upholstered. This explains why there's so much black in this tile :-) It was fun to do anyway, because I learned 4 new patterns!

It's a String Thing #76
Adele Bruno asked us to tangle Trumpits, Oolo and Fjord in string #084. That was quite a challenge to me... I found it hard to combine these patterns in this string, so I'm very curious to see what other people did!

Joey's challenge #44
Joey's son turns 10 years OLS this week, so Joey challenges us to use string 10 and the pattern Joy.
So... here it is :-) and I wish Joey and her family a very happy birthday!

That's New to Me #3
Another challenge at SuzyMosh Creations: tangle at least one new pattern starting with the letter V. To me, that's Villers #2 and I added Vanity, Verve, Vortex and Ving.

Diva's #201: Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day 2015
Friday, January 24, it's Moebius Syndrome Awareness Day. Since her youngest son Artoo has this rare syndrome (5.000 people on the planet live with it), the Diva asked us to use the Moebius Syndrome Foundation's logo as a string.
This way, she wants to raise awareness for the fact that this is a disorder affecting nerves, not a disease.
I wish Laura and her family all the best!
P.S. I used Ahh and Copada, and another tangle I don't know the name of. Anybody? It looks like this:
This way, she wants to raise awareness for the fact that this is a disorder affecting nerves, not a disease.
Such a great way to get more attention for this disorder - I'm glad to help this little bit I can. So, I tangled the logo and chose Ahh for the background:
'Ahh, it's hard to live with a chronic disorder (or disease as well, by the way...)'
and
'Ahh, life is full of nice surprises, even with a chronic disorder (or disease ;-) )'
I wish Laura and her family all the best!
P.S. I used Ahh and Copada, and another tangle I don't know the name of. Anybody? It looks like this:

Joey's weekly challenge #43
It's a late entry for Joey's challenge, but I love the idea: tangle a group of 4 tiles. Or actually, tangle 1 tile, duplicate it and create an ensemble of four 'mosaic tiles'. So, I tangled 1 tile:
and created two larger tiles by duplicating it. I found out the corners didn't line up very wel, but in the second larger tile, you don't notice it as much.
Thanks for this fun challenge, Joey!

CUdad on BB
Facebook-group Square One asked us to tangle the pattern BB - and I decided to build CUdad on it ;-)

It's a String Thing #75
Wow, 75 'It's a String Thing' challenges by Adele Bruno! Congratulations, Adele! Thank you for the time and energy you put into our zentangle fun.
This week's challenge is to tangle Bales, Echoism, Ennis and Poke Leaf/Poke Root in string #075. These patterns are all quite busy, so I decided to leave some white space in the tile.
The result is nicer than I expected and I'm happy to have met Egoism ;-).

Diva's challenge: #200!
Wow, this week the Diva posted her 200th challenge! Congratulations, Laura, and thanks for all the time and energy you put into it!
To celebrate this special moment, Laura asked us to create a monotangle that fills the whole tile (so no borders), use a GO-TO tangle and stick in the nummer 200.
One of my go-to tangles is Baton, so I chose this one - and for some reason I adore monotangling. So: this challenge was a great 'zenful' party :-)
Thank you for visiting my blog, your comments allways put a smile on my face!

That's New to Me: C
Our random letter at Suzy Mosh's challenge is the letter C. This means we have to use a pattern starting with C that we never used before.
Looking through new patterns, I quickly knew what my choice would be: because of all things happening in Paris last week, it had to be the pattern Charlie. I can't draw cartoons like Charlie, but of course I support freedom of speech.
So, my tile somehow is a close-up of a rainbow (of hope), built with Charlie and some Heart Box.
It looks quite dark to me, but I suppose they match the horrible things that happened.
Thank you for visiting my blog!

Joey's weekly challenge #42
Joey's first challenge of 2015 is to tangle Lucky in string 015.
Somehow I thought of drinking champagne when feeling or being Lucky, so that's why I chose a bubbly background ;-)

It's a String Thing #74
Three new patterns to me at the 'It's a String Thing' challenge, so I decided to keep it simple in String 074.
Thank you, Adele, for making me use these new tangles - I really love Twizted.

Diva's challenge #199: Hitched
Hurray, the Diva is back after two weeks of well deserved Holidays! She challenges us to use the UMT (use my tangle) Hitched bij HeidiSue.
Well.... I did some biggifying, some auraing and some shadowing and the result: I'm not sure if this was what I had in mind. It looks OK though, and it gave me a nice practice of this and that. Best of all: there was this great zentangle-feeling :-)
Thank you for visiting my blog - and it's always nice to hear your comments!

That's new to me: T
2015 started with a new zentangle challenge: Suzy Mosh challenges us to learn 52 new patterns this year. Every week, she randomly chooses one letter and we're asked to look for one - or more - patterns that start with this letter.
This week, we work with T. I decided to choose three patterns: Tipz, Tropicana, Tearce.
Thank you Suzy, for this challenge full of tangle discoveries :-)

Square One: Xyp
Square One's challenge (at Facebook) was to tangle with Xyp. I put some Florz under it, just for fun ;-)
