Joey's challenge #54

Joey is very happy that the Spring Season has started, so this will be her theme for the next couple of weeks. This week, she asked us to tangle a Dust Bunny. I guess that's the closest I get to Spring Cleaning this week :-)

Diva's challenge #211: Flux

Laura is busy with 1 of her little boys in hospital (take care you all!), so she quickly combined this week's challenge to a pattern that is shared in the newest zentangle newsletter: Flux.

I love Flux and put it in String #034. That string reminds me of a tulip, and that's what I would like to give to Laura and her family: happy flowers to get better soon! It seemed the right thjing to do to put Diva Dance next to Flux ;-)

Joey's challenge #54: tangle a border

Joey asked us to tangle a border print. I probably didn't choose the most easy way by drawing a corner in my border.

Although the borders aren't connecting perfectly, I still like the outcome when putting them together in one tile (thanks to Photoshop :-) ).

Square One Focus: Squid

This week's Focus in the Facebook group Square One is Squid. My first idea was to make an underwaterworld with it, but then I realised that Squid can well be combined with Oke. So, now you look at an Oke-Squid :-)

It's a String Thing #85

Adele Bruno gave us a lovely string (085) which we were to fill with Mumsy, Printemps and Kelp. I found it quite difficult what to put where; this is the result:

That's New to Me: O

Suzy Mosh challenged us to try a pattern starting with O that was new to us. I chose Octoleg and put Oolong, Bublz and some Tipple to it.

Octoleg somewhat disappearef in the other tangles, so I decided to put a blue touch to it. It's not my best tile, but that's OK ;-)

Diva's challenge #210: Spiralstring

This week's Diva challenge is to use a spiral as our string. I don't use that shape often, so I had to think of how to fill it. Chainging and Borbz were this week's winners ;-)

Thanks for visiting my blog! Your comments always put a smile on my face :-)

Square One Focus: Mooka

Facebook's group Square One asked us to focus on Mooka. It turned out to be a quite dramatic dramatic tile, with lots of black and a Trio-heart.

Striping

Simply relaxing with Striping - and more :-)

Diva's challenge #209: Green!

This week, Laura gives us a holiday themed challenge because of St. Patrick's day. This means were to green up our tile. I wanted to use different colours of green and ended up with this tile. Quite like it, even though I'm not sure what pattern I used (stripy Florz?).

Florz and more

I felt like just tangling around and then this appeared on my tile. Apart from Florz, I don't even know what tangles I used ;-)

Square One Focus: Oof

Facebook's Square One likes to call their challenge a 'focus', so here's my focus on Oof (Out Of Focus) :-)

Izzy's tile: monotangl-ING

After yesterday's quiet and calm monotangle, I decided to make another, more difficult one. I took ING and started puzzling ;-) It was a real challenge to me to draw all ING's in the right way, but I like the result. There's 6 of them in this tile!

This time, Izzy liked to show us his beautiful profile :-)

New to me: Afterglo

Suzy Mosh challenged us to try a new tangle starting with A. I chose Afterglo and made a monotangle of it. Nice and quiet :-)

Diva's challenge #208

This week we focus on a duotangle in the Diva's challenge, using only Cubine and Pokeroot. Patterns I don't tangle often, so I had to think of how to use them.

When I realised there would be a lot of black, I tried to leave some tiny white dots, as if there was a starry night. The 'stars' turned out réally small, but I didn't want to black them away. I think they're tiny but cute and they add a little sparkle in the black night ;-)

Square One: Bunzo

Facebook's Square One page challenged us to use Bunzo. I thought it deserved a Punzel frame ;-)

Izzy's tile: Shattuck Flower

This afternoon, Izzy was sĂł relaxed! I hadn't finished this tile yet, but I couldn't resist taking a picture :-)

So, he's holding the half-finished tile and below that you can see the final result of a lovely relaxing afternoon.

Twinchie process

I wanted to do something different, so I took a Twinchie Square tile and filled it with 63Y. It was small (2 Square Inches or 5x5 cm) - and fun!

Here's the steps I took:

And the result biggified:

Joey's challenge #50

Joey liked us to monotangle the Vano tangle. I love monotangling, so I was pleased to give it a go :-)

It's a String Thing #82

We were Tickled to Tangle with string #079. To be honoust, I would never have chosen this string myself. So, I doubted if I would participate, but... it's a challenge, so why not try something different. The tangles were new to me as well. Daggerly is cool, the other two were allright. Maybe I have to try them gaaien in a different string.

I'm not too excited about the result, but at least I gave it a try ;-)

That's New to Me: Henna Drum

The new tangle I discovered this week for Suzy Mosh' challenge is Henna Drum. A lovely tangle that soon appeared on my tile. But then... I didn't know what to put next to it! I ended up with a lot of Tipple, some Striping and a bit of Paisley. Looks a bit busy to me, but it was nice to create ;-)

Diva's challenge: Unbatz

This may not be my most creative tile, but I certainly won't forget about making it... Today, I was in the hospital for my monthly infusion. Last time my body temperature rose too quickly, so unfortunately they had to stop the infusion very early. Today, they were very carefull: my temperature was measured every 15 minutes and the gift would be cancelled again if my temp would be 38.0 or higher.

So here we went: 37.2 - 37.5 - 37.6 - 37.8 - 37.9 - aaaah! I need this medication! :-(
You'll understand how lucky I felt when the next one was 37.6 and that I didn't get above that anymore :-). Pfff... Let's hope next month will be less of a rollercoaster...

In the mean time, I was glad I took some paper and my Micron pen and a pencil with me - and that there was a Diva challenge. Zentangling is such a great way to focus on staying calm and believing things will work out just fine. I suppose I focused more on that than on the design of this tile, but I don't mind about that at all ;-)

Squill

This morning, I started with Squill (the pattern in the middle) and then I let my hand tangle away ;-)
