Diva challenge #319 & Crea-cross

Laura likes us to be inspired by whatever gives us Courage. I thought about the sun quite quickly: he (or she? ;-) ) is a great symbol to me for courage and hope. He makes me happy, makes me feel good and he shows me that, no matter how dark clouds can be, in the end there's always the sun to brighten up our days :-)

This tile perfectly fits in the Crea-cross 'Summer' challenge of my Belgian 'colleague' Ilse, so I'll post it there as well ;-)

Thank you for visiting my blog ánd brightening my day in your own way with your comments :-)

It's a String Thing #141

We're tangling a string that shows '90', in honour of Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday and we're filling it with Queen's Crown, Baton and the new pattern MA-XII. I don't think the last one will be one of my favorites, but it was nice to try it out.

Next week you can take a look at Adele Bruno's blog to see what other people did with this challenge!

Joey's challenge #107

Joey likes us to fill her Roman Numeral 7 string with 4 patterns, if possible. I gave it a try and ended up with this result, thanks to Queen's Crown, Gotcha, Nipa and Zailz.

It was only once I had finished that I noticed I've shaded Nipa upsidedown...! Oh well, these things happen :-)

It's a String Thing #89

Were celebrating royals at Adele Bruno's challenge. Last Tuesday, April 21, it was Queen Elizabeth of England's birthday. In Holland, Monday April 27 we celebrate the birthday of our King Willem-Alexander, and his mum's (Princes Beatrix) birthday is on April 30. So... plenty reasons to create a Royal Tile :-)

I used Queen's Crown, Jems and Knightsbridge in string #89, and I'm pretty pleased with the result:
