Crea-Cross #26

Crea-Cross is a nice and different kind of challenge, since it welcomes all kind if creative art around a weekly theme. Not all theme's are zentangle-proof, but this week Ilse (another one, yes ;-) ) likes us to create something with 'Dots' involved.

The patterns I chose are Tipple, Drupe, Balloya, Fishnet and Barberpole. Plenty of dots involved, don't you think? ;-)

Crea-cross: Flower

It's been a while since I participated in Ilse's Crea-cross challenge. This week's theme (flower) is a nice one for zentangle, so I'm glad to be back! :-)

I started with the pattern Kiku and added some improvised lines and circles. 

Crea-Cross: Silence

This week's Crea-Cross has the theme 'silence'. I guess any zentangle tile would fit this challenge, since tangling gives me plenty inner silence. 

But that would be too easy ;-) so I tried to create a tile with a silence 'look and feel'. The pattern i've used is called Aloha. 

Challenge-combo

I'm combining 2 challenges: It's a String Thing and Crea-cross, because I think they go well together.

Adele drew us a nice string and asked us to tangle Fricle, Zinger and Fescu to it. Immediately, I saw a 'Spring' tile appear - just what I needed for the Crea-cross challenge by Ilse ;-)

Crea-Cross #10: Little

This week's Crea-Cross theme is 'little'. So, I took 3 Twinchies (a twinchie is a small tile of 2 x 2 inches = 4,6 x 4,6 cm) and drew some zentangle fun on it :-)

The tangles I've used are Flyte, Bic and Chakra. 

Crea-cross #7: Welcome

Welcome: not an easy theme to fill a zentangle tile with.  I ended up drawing a 'welcoming' flower :-)

Take a look at Kreanimo's blog to see what other creative ideas (non-zentangle) came to mind considering 'welcome'. 

Crea-cross #6: Time

Crea-cross is a challenge for all kinds of creative interpretations, not just for tangling people. This means that some prompts are easier to fill in with zentangle (last week's theme 'shadow') than others (this week's 'time'). I like that, it's a real challenge!

I thought about time and straight away it came into my mind that time is passing by so quickly that it's driving me 'mad' sometimes ;-) So, I drew some kind of clock with patterns that match these feelings:

Zenuari #21/ Crea-Cross #3

Today, I've combined the challenges of Zenuari (Zengem) and Crea-Cross (round).

I hardly ever make a Zengem, but when I do, I'm always surprised by the result :-)

Zenuari #13/ Crea-Cross #2

To be able to participate in all those challenges, I'll sometimes use 1 entry for 2 challenges. This time, I'll combine Zenuari ('Monotangle') and Crea-cross ('Frozen'), which results in a frozen Monotangle made of the tangle pattern Frost Flower. The heart shaped string is to thank Anoeska and my namesake Ilse for their challenges!

Crea-Cross #1: New

One of my new year's resolutions ;-) is to participate in a new challenge: Crea-Cross. Every week on Thursday there is a new theme and we can be creative with it in any way. Obviously I'll be tangling ;-) but it will be nice to see what other people create in their favorite expression of art.

This week's theme is 'New' and for some reason I had to think of a star. So here it is:
