Zenuari 2019 day 7: Duotone
Today we’re drawing with two different colored pens. I chose to add my favorite blue to the black and I drew Footlites, Ixorus, Infinitus and Jemz.

Zenuari 2019 day 6: Blind string
I closed my eyes and let my pencil wander around over my blank tile. I guess it helps that I’ve been drawing strings for 4 years now ;-)

The patterns I’ve used are Hekzee, Keeko and Kuke.

Zenuari 2019 day 5: Hint of a tint
Anoeska likes us to add a ‘hint of a tint’ in our tile. Being Dutch ;-) I chose a tint of orange inside Fassett. Henna Drum and Fassett were left black and white.

Zenuari 2019 day 4: Biggify
The pattern I’ve blown up is Brrrst:

Zenuari 2019 day 3: Monotangle
My monotangle for this challenge is created with Tripoli. I like it that it has many variations!

Zenuari 2019 day 2: Stars
Day 2 is all about stars, which I drew with Auraknot:

Zenuari 2019 day 1: Party
Like previous years, in January I’ll be participating in the daily challenge Zenuari 2019. You can find the prompts in the Facebook group ‘Zenuari 2019’.

The first day, our theme is Party. The patterns I’ve used are Waybop and Ahh - and I wish you all a happy and healthy 2019!

Zenuari day 14: Blossoming tangle
Anoeska likes us to use a blossoming tangle in our tile. I chose Trelina and added Pufcookie.

Zenuari day 13: Own fragment
Anoeska likes us to create a fragment of our own and draw it in a reticulum. I still don’t have the proper fragment and reticula-feeling, so this is what came up:

Zenuari day 12: Overlap
Overlapping tangles is today’s theme. I used Flukes and Leeter to overlap and added some good old Flux ;-)

Zenuari day 11: Organic and straight
Today we’re drawing a tile in which we combine organic and straight tangles. I drew Pais, Tipple, Inapod and Jemz:

Zenuari day 10: New to me tangle
The tangle in this tile that is new to me is called Jester (in the middle).

Zenuari day 9: Stained Glass
Today’s prompt is from Susan Reading. She likes us to create stained glass pieces and add a little zentangle to the mix.

For the ‘leading’ I got inspired by a window of the Notre Dame in Paris. Inside, you’ll see a lot of tangles (for their names see the tags of this post). The colors are added with colorpencils.

Zenuari day 8: Reticula and fragments
I gave it another chance ;-) but I’m still no fan of reticula and fragments. Maybe it doesn’t help that I don’t have the Primer 1 book with the theory.

Anyway ;-) Here you see A3 and E4.

Zenuari day 7: Size DOES matter
The tangles you see are Ping, CC and Cockels ‘N Mussels - and some other I don’t know the name of.

Zenuari day 6: Blind string
Anoeska asks us to draw a string with our eyes shut and the fill the sections with patterns. Like she predicted, there were a lot of little sections, which I didn’t fill up all. The tangles you see, are Drip drop, Crux, Fe-Ba, Ennies and Tipple.

Zenuari day 5: Colorful background
My ‘signature’ in zentangle is that I create black and white things. So when I see a prompt that involves color, I tend to hesitate at first. Luckily ;-) I also want to send in an entry, so I start and... I love whatI see appear :-)

Zenuari day 4: Forgotten tangle
No, I did not forget about Drupe, but I don’t draw it very often anymore. Nice to rediscover it - and add some Flux.

Zenuari day 3: Weighted lines
We’re creating weighted lines to add contrast and interest. Nice prompt! The tangles I’ve used are Bales, Flux, Fassett, Chillon and Shattuck.

Zenuari day 2: Auld lang syne
Day 2 has a prompt by Franciose Lip. She asks us to look back through our collection of tiles, perhaps to our first tile of 2017. Then we are challenged to make it again, but do it completely different.
My first tile of 2017 also was for Zenuari, so I... turned it around, in some kind of way ;-)
I wish you all a very happy and tangly 2018!
