Rediscovering patterns

After a long time of doing other things, I finally have time to rediscover all those pretty zentangle patterns. Glad to be back! :-)

Membranart meets Shattuck

Two nice tangles, Membranart and Shattuck combined gives this result:

Diva challenge #375: Burtz

Laura likes us to play with Burtz, a down-to-earth tangle pattern. I’ve added soms Borbz, Tipple, Fescu and a Shattuck variation.

Back after 6 (!) weeks

This Summer tangling break wasn’t planned at all, it just happened. We went on a lovely holiday to France and somehow (maybe because of the heat), I never felt like picking up my tangling materials.

Once we were back home, we met our new little kitten. She’s called Zoë and she’s adorable! And of course this little girl demands a lot of attention :-)

Luckily zentangle never really left my mind, so I’m very happy to start ‘again’. Shattuck, Patience and Ahh we’re the patterns I chose to draw first. 

Joey’s challenge #214

Joey created a starting tile with Spoken in the middle. I  filled it with Mack, Shattuck, Sand Swirl and... a tangle Idon’t know the name of. 

Diva challenge #360

My week was more busy than I had thought, so little time to tangle unfortunately. Just in time my entry for Laura’s challenge is finished: a duotangle of Shattuck and Tripoli.

Stacked tangles

I felt like stacking tangles, so here’s my pile ;-)

You see Chard, Baton, Shattuck, Hollibaugh and Cockels ‘n Mussels. 

Zenuari day 9: Stained Glass

Today’s prompt is from Susan Reading. She likes us to create stained glass pieces and add a little zentangle to the mix.

For the ‘leading’ I got inspired by a window of the Notre Dame in Paris. Inside, you’ll see a lot of tangles (for their names see the tags of this post). The colors are added with colorpencils. 

Zenuari day 3: Weighted lines

We’re creating weighted lines to add contrast and interest. Nice prompt! The tangles I’ve used are Bales, Flux, Fassett, Chillon and Shattuck.

Square One: Onamato

We’re focussing on Onamato for Facebook’s group Square One. I combined it with Shattuck:

Stormy wheather

I wanted to try out the new-to-me pattern Flevo, and somehow this tile ended up like something that reminded me of stormy weather ;-)

You see Flevo combined with Rain, Shattuck and Sand Swirl. 

Diva’s challenge #338

We’re doing white on black this week for Laura’s challenge. Even though I don’t have these new white gelly roll pens, nor black tiles, I still like this change of mindset from time to time.

The patterns I stacked are Onamato, Shattuck, Kiss and some triangles.

Here's tile # 3 of Joey's '9 tile challenge'. This week we're using the tangle Cruffle.

Florz and Bales are connected with tile # 2 and I added some Shattuck.

Stacking tangles

Stacking tangles is nice to do from time to time! From left to right you see Prestwood, Onomato, Shattuck, Ping and Pixioze.

Zenith Hill

Zenith is a pattern I don't use often enough. Here you see it above and below N'Zeppel. At the bottom I drew some Shattuck.

Marasu meets friends

Marasu is a pattern I always love to draw. Here I combined it with Molygon, Shattuck and Fife.

Diva challenge #325

Jessica is back for part 2 of her guest post at Laura's blog. She likes us to create a tile with Peanuckle in it. Oops, not my favorite, so I've only drew it once before (I think). After finishing this tile, my opinion is still the same ;-)) A proper challenge I would say :-)
